



Excursion to Gualaceo and Chordeleg
Gualaceo is a small town that looks and feels a lot like a miniature Cuenca. Here you will find narrow cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed colonial buildings where friendly people live in a relaxed environment.

We will visit the towns that are characterized because of their handicrafts, Bulcay Weavers, The Gualaceo Indian Market, CIDAP Museum and the Chordeleg town.
Gualaceo.- It’s also called "El Jardin Del Azuay" (The Garden of Azuay) due to its favored climate, privileged nature, environment of peace and hospitality of its inhabitants.
Gualaceo is a canton (territorial subdivision) in the south-central region of Ecuador. It belongs to Azuay Province, Ecuador.
Chordeleg.- Is one of the newest towns in the Azuay Province, located 20 miles from the city of Cuenca, 7,850 feet above sea level, with approximately 2,000 inhabitants. It is known both nationally and worldwide for its culture, artisanal production and tourism due to the town´s Incan and Canari archeological remains.
