Bartolome.- Is a volcanic islet in the Galapagos Islands Group, located just off the east coast of Santiago Island. It is one of the “younger” islands in the Galapagos archipelago. It is named after Lieutenant David Bartholomew of the British Navy. It has an area of 1,2 km2 and an altitude of 114 meters. The most representative land mark from the archipelago, the ever famous Pinnacle is located here; it is also home to Galapagos Penguins as well as Sea Lions. A great deal of lava formations and volcanic cones be observed.
